MEET FORMAT: The meet will be swum as=20 timed-finals. Each = session will be=20 seeded by computer based on positive check-in at the beginning of each=20 session. Coaches will = receive=20 scratch sheets for all sessions at the beginning of the meet in = coaches=92 packets=20 except for the Saturday night distance session which will be positive=20 check-in. The scratch = sheet for=20 each session must be returned no later than 30 minutes before the = beginning of=20 the session. Heat sheets = will be=20 posted around the pool deck and delivered to officials and coaches as = they=20 become available.

SITE: The=20 Competition Pool is a 6-lane, 25-yard pool with non-turbulent lane=20 lines. There is a fully automatic, electronic timing system with = touch pads=20 at the finish end of the pool with single-line electronic display. There = are no=20 touchpads at the turn end of the pool. The = finish end=20 of the pool is 11 feet deep; the turn end of the pool is 4 feet=20 deep. Spectator seating is for approximately 300. The pool is = located=20 is located at 750 Winter Street, Framingham MA=20 (see Directions).

COURSE: Short course yards (25 yards).

ELIGIBILITY: All contestants may be 2008 USA = Swimming=20 registered athletes. All swimmers must be registered = before the=20 entry is submitted. Teams = that=20 enter unregistered swimmers will be subject to a fine of $100 per = unregistered=20 swimmer. New England teams entering the meet are required = to check=20 their entries with the online registration check tool on the New England = Swimming web site. Please = contact=20 the New England Swimming Office for registration information. Disabled = swimmer=20 forms are available from the New England Swimming Office. ENTRY=20 INFORMATION: 75% of entries will be reserved and 25% will be open=20 lottery. Entries=20 will be accepted on and after April 21, 2008. Entries received = before=20 April 21, 2008 will be considered received on April 21, 2008. = Entries must=20 be received no later than 5 PM, May 5, 2008. Make checks payable = to=20 =93Shawmut Aquatic Club=94. Mail completed forms (including signed = entry cover=20 page and waiver) and payment to the entry chairperson: Matthew Craven PO = BOX=20 318, Hopkinton, MA 01748. All entries must be typed or printed = legibly, and=20 must use full names and registration numbers from USA Swimming = registration.=20 All entries must include a completed and signed entry cover sheet = and=20 waiver. No deck entries will be accepted. No refunds will be given = for=20 entries that are accepted, or for entries that are rejected due to = improper=20 entry. Any swimmer who is entered with incorrect swimmer information, or = an=20 incorrect or no ID, will be scratched from the meet until corrections = are made=20 per the New England Swimming policy.

ELECTRONIC ENTRIES: Electronic entries (such = as from=20 Hy-Tek Team Manager or other team management = software)=20 that are in CL2 or SD3/SDIF format may be emailed as an attachment to = the entry=20 chairperson at matthewcraven316@hotmail.com. Please check that your team = name,=20 address, and contact information are listed correctly in this file. For email entries, payment and = hardcopy=20 of the entry (including signed entry cover page and waiver) must be = received=20 within four (4) days, excluding Sundays and holidays, of receipt of the = email=20 entry. If payment is = received=20 within four (4) days, excluding Sundays and holidays, of the email = entry, the=20 email receipt date will be considered the date of entry. If payment is received more = than four=20 (4) days, excluding Sundays and holidays, after the email entry, the = payment=20 receipt date will be considered the date of entry.

ENTRY LIMITS: Athletes may enter and swim in = a maximum=20 of five (5) events per day. =

ENTRY TIME UPATES: Entry times may be = updated until 7=20 days prior to the first day of the meet. =20 No new entries will be accepted after the April=20 21, 2008 entry deadline. =20 Entry time updates should be sent via email to the entry = chairperson at=20 matthewcraven316@hotmail.com= .=20 Entry time updates must be sent as Hy-Tek = format CL2=20 files with updated times. = (New=20 entries will be automatically excluded.)

ENTRY FEES: Electronic entries: $4.50 for = individual=20 events less than 400 yards in length, and = $5.00 for=20 distance events (400 yards and longer). =20 Non-electronic entries: $5 for individual events less than 400 = yards in=20 length and $5.50 for distance events (400 yards and longer).

SWIMMER = PARTICIPATION=20 FEE: $2

ENTRY TIMES: All=20 entries must be specified in short-course yard (25-yard pool) times. = Meter times=20 must be converted to yard times. Entries with =93NO TIME=94 will be=20 rejected.

ENTRY CUTS: Entry cuts, if necessary, will = be made by=20 the date of receipt and time. Teams will be notified that they have been = accepted or cut from the meet within seven days of receipt of = entry. This meet will follow the = 75/25 process=20 outlined by NE Swimming policy. The host team will guarantee up to 75% = of the=20 entries for selected teams (including host team). If the meet becomes=20 oversubscribed for the remaining 25% of the entries, then a random = selection of=20 those entries received on the date the meet becomes oversubscribed will = be=20 conducted in accordance with New England Swimming guidelines. Teams that are cut from the = meet will=20 have their entry fee returned within four days of being cut. The meet = director=20 reserves the right to cut the following events by time: 400 IM, 500 = Free.

RELAYS: There will be no relay events.

25-YARD EVENTS: =20 25-yard events = will start on=20 the blocks at the finish end of the pool. The 25-yard events will be = timed=20 manually by two timers per lane. There are no touch pads at the turn end = of the=20 pool.

PROGRAMS: $2.00 per session or $5.00 = for=20 complete meet program.

ADMISSION: $1.00 per session.

WARMUPS: The pool will open for warm-ups at = least one=20 hour before the beginning of each session. =20 The pool will close ten minutes before the beginning of each=20 session. Teams will be = assigned=20 warm-up lanes and time slots after all entries are received.

SAFETY:

Diving will = be=20 prohibited during warm-ups except in specifically announced one-way = sprint=20 lanes. There will be no = diving in=20 the warm-up and warm-down areas at any time.=20
No=20 shaving is permitted at the competition site.=20
No=20 glass containers are permitted within the facility.=20
Swimmers must = be under=20 the supervision of a coach. = If a=20 swimmer arrives at the meet without a coach, the swimmer should notify = the=20 referee before he/she warms up. =20 The referee will assign the swimmer to a registered coach for = warm-ups.=20
No=20 camera cell phones are permitted in the locker rooms.

RULES: 2008 USA Swimming rules will govern = all=20 competition. Decisions by = the meet=20 referee will be final unless a written protest is lodged within 30 = minutes of=20 the heat swum. All events will be swum as timed finals.

TIME TRIALS: Time trials will be offered at = the=20 discretion of the meet referee if time allows. Time trials are $5.00 for = individual=20 events and $14.00 for relays.

DECK ACCESS: Only athletes, coaches, = officials, and=20 official meet staff are permitted on the pool deck. All non-athletes on the pool = deck must=20 display their USA Swimming registration card at all times. Individuals without their USA = Swimming=20 registration card will be removed from the pool deck, and will be = subject to a=20 fine by New England Swimming.

SCORING: The meet will not be scored.

AWARDS: Ribbons will be awarded to the top = six=20 finishers in each individual event.

FOOD: A concession stand will be in = operation for the=20 duration of the meet.

EQUIPMENT VENDOR: A swimming equipment = vendor will be=20 selling suits, goggles, and other accessories for the duration of the = meet.

MISCELLANEOUS:=20 Shawmut Aquatic Club assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen = property. Pets=20 of any kind and smoking are not permitted within the = facility.

PARKING: There is ample parking available in = the=20 parking lot adjacent to the Keefe=20 Tech Pool.

DIRECTIONS: From Rt. 128 take Rt. 9 west = toward=20 Framingham=20 passing the Natick Mall. Take Rt. 126 into downtown Framingham, = turn right onto=20 Rt. 135. Go past La Cantina Restaurant and take next right (Winter = Street). Go over bridge thru lights. = Keefe Tech=20 is on the right.

From the West, using either the = Mass Pike=20 or Rt. 9. Upon exiting the Mass Pike at exit 12, Framingham, follow signs to Rt. 9 East, = Framingham. At = the end of=20 the ramp, merge onto Rt. 9 east and proceed approximately 1.3 miles to = the=20 second light. Take the = right onto=20 Temple=20 Street and proceed past the Super Stop and = Shop to=20 the end of the street. At the end, take a left onto Salem End = Road. Proceed on Salem End = Road =BC=20 mile to the first light. Take a right onto Winter Street. The entrance = to Keefe=20 Tech will be located 1 =BD miles on the left.

Special Instructions:

No=20 food or drinks except water will be allowed on deck or in the = spectator=20 seating area, per order of the Town of Framingham Public Health = Department. This=20 will be closely monitored for adherence. Please alert all swimmers and = spectators.
